Tim Tsang · Independent Ambit Consultant · Texas
Your clients are moving. Their power has to move too.
I help people who are moving into a new home or office in Texas pick an electricity plan and get it turned on. Send them to me, or straight to Ambit's plans.

Or send them to me: tim@txbillcheck.com. I'll help them pick a plan.

How to help a client
- Look up plans for the new address on Ambit's site: enter the ZIP code.
- Pick a plan and a start date. Read the plan's Electricity Facts Label first.
- Questions? Email or call me and I'll walk you through it.
Good to know
- Turning power on at a new address? If the place already has a working smart meter and the order goes in before 5 p.m. on a business day, service can usually be turned on that same day. Your utility sets the actual start date, so no one can promise a time of day.
- Moving? You may be able to leave your old plan without a cancellation fee. A provider can't charge an early termination fee because you moved out, if you give it a forwarding address and, if asked, proof of the move.
- Ambit runs a soft credit check to see whether a deposit is needed, and a deposit can often be waived — for example with a letter of credit from your current provider, or ID showing you're 55 or older. If one is required, you can pay it in installments or within 30 days.
- Ambit doesn't charge a fee to become a customer (your utility may charge a small switching fee, and your current provider's contract terms still apply).
